This Regulated Qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to become an emergency first aider. This provides learners with skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in low risk workplace environments for the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982 purposes. As this is a Regulated Qualification, an Employer who obtains training from an ITC First Approved Centre is not required to carry out any due diligence on the training provider in order to ensure the suitability of the training (HSE statement).

This Regulated Qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to become a first aider. It covers a wider range of subjects than that covered by the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification. It provides learners with the skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in higher risk workplaces or workplaces with an increased number of employees. Produced in aid of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982 purposes.

Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid

This regulated first aid qualification is specific to infants aged under 1, and children aged from 1 year old to the onset of puberty. If is ideal for parents and babysitters. This qualification is the first unit (day one) of the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (QCF). This latter qualification meets the requirements of the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as issued by the department for Education and Skills Foundation Stage relating to Early Years childcare.

The Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Anaphylaxis qualification has been designed to provide the knowledge and skills to manage casualties with anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis is a potentially life threatening condition and prompt action in its recognition and management is essential to preserve life. The Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (QCF) qualification has been developed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to administer basic life support and use an AED in an emergency. Early CPR and defibrillation are vital in the chain of survival following a cardiac arrest. This course is able to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to operate the AED safely. It meets the HSE and the Resuscitation Council training recommendations for use of AEDs in the workplace.
